Account & Data Deletion
Ferva Health respects your right to control your personal information. This page explains how to request deletion of your Ferva account and associated data.
Who can request deletion
Any patient with a Ferva account may request deletion of their account and personal data at any time.
How to request deletion
Send a deletion request to privacy@fervahealth.com from the email address associated with your account, with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." Include your registered phone number or patient ID so we can verify your identity.
We will confirm receipt of your request within 7 business days and complete deletion within 30 days, subject to the retention exceptions below.
What gets deleted
Once your request is verified and processed, we delete:
Your account profile (name, email, phone number, password)
Cycle tracking data, medication logs, and symptom entries you've recorded
In-app messages between you and your clinic
Device and usage data linked to your account
What we may retain, and why
Some information may be retained even after account deletion, where required by law or legitimate clinical/business need:
Clinical records shared with your treating clinic may be subject to independent retention requirements under India's ART (Regulation) Act, 2021, which governs medical record-keeping by fertility clinics — this data is retained by the clinic under its own obligations, separate from your Ferva account.
Records needed for legal, tax, or regulatory compliance, retained only as long as required by applicable law.
De-identified, aggregated data that can no longer be linked back to you may be retained for product improvement and is not considered personal data once de-identified.
Partial deletion
If you'd like to delete specific data (e.g., a single cycle record) rather than your full account, note this in your request and we'll process it accordingly where technically feasible.
Verification
To protect against fraudulent deletion requests, we may ask you to verify your identity (e.g., confirm your registered phone number or answer an account security question) before processing.
